Eat clean, colorful whole foods prepared in creative, but simple ways to make your time in the kitchen efficient and effective. Food should be flavorful, enjoyable, and nutrient-dense to fuel your days.

Sweat often, move more, push your limits, + strengthen it from the outside, in. Don’t let a workout intimidate you, let it inspire you to set a new personal best and allow your fitness goals to evolve.

Mental and emotional health with self-care practices are needed to fortify any healthy living changes you make in your life. A strong, positive mind along with a dedication to putting yourself first when it comes to health is key to overall success.

Chicagoan to

Know, Love &

Follow in 2018

by Sophisticated Living Magazine

Ashley here! I wanted to give you a little bit of background on my experience in this ever-changing industry…aka: how I got to where I am today. Over the last 15 years, I have evolved my healthy living programming into a more modern approach; what I call ‘an on-demand + comprehensive approach to the whole body.’  My well-rounded and detailed “LIVING” approach sets me apart from basic, commercial training and do-it-yourself nutrition programs. Check out my philosophies for more info on why my clients are successful with making lifelong changes to live happier + healthier.

Thanks to some amazing people who nominated and voted for me- I was chosen as a Chicagoan to “Know, Love and Follow in 2018” by Sophisticated Living Chicago Magazine. I received the accolade of runner-up in the Chicago Reader’s “2015 Best Chicagoan to Follow on Twitter” and I also received a nomination for “Chicago’s Hottest Trainer” by lifestyle site in 2012.

Along with working one-on-one with clients, I have worked for several years as both a personal trainer and nutrition coach in a variety of settings. In addition to my past work with highly regarded fitness centers in Chicago, I have worked as Director of Wellness for a corporate wellness company, designing custom programs to aid employees on their path to better health as well as supporting a healthy corporate culture within many Fortune 500 companies.

I have also served as the official “Wellness Concierge” of the Kimpton’s Allegro Hotel in Chicago to offer unique wellness benefits for guests.

My background also stems from my long-time love of athletics, specifically spending a large part of my life as a competitive runner in cross-country running, running marathons, and doing the 5k/10k competitive circuit. My interest in service and working with people also transcends to my large involvement with charitable causes, such as serving as a national board member with Gift of Adoption, a development board member at PAWS Chicago, and as a mentor with the Young Adult Counselor at Steppenwolf Theater.

Ashley Fun facts: I am a dog mom of 2 incredible doggies as well as the mommy to an incredible 5-year-old. I love to teach her all about cooking and enjoying the grateful life. I sing in the shower, and in the car, and when I cook. I also tend to dance around my kitchen when my Spotify is on!

Some of my professional fun stuff: I am a recurring contributor on health trends and lifestyle topics on the following major stations: ABC’s #1 Windy City Live!, Fox Good Day Chicago, WCIU’s The Jam, CBS 2 Chicago, WGN News / CLTV’s Living Healthy Chicago, WGN morning news, and The Hallmark Channel’s Home and Family, and more. She has had feature articles in widely read publications, including, Michigan Avenue Magazine, CS Magazine, Sun-Times Splash, FabFitFun, SHAPE, SELF, the Food Channel, AOL, Huffington Post, Amazon, Prevention, and more.
